We all know it's wet this year, you only have to look outside and groan at the non-stop buckets pouring down. If you are a dog owner, it is even worse, you have to go out in it for walkies twice a day. The good news is someone loves it, unless you are a whippet of course but most other breeds will be desperate to jump in and out of puddles and get as muddy as they can.
This is why we have decided to pen this useful blog on the best doggy products for wet weather. You can forget about mud being sprayed on your walls as you enter the house, worry no more about a damp dog bed and even keep them relatively dry when they are out and about. We have years of experience selecting the best dog products on the market to ensure that you and your dog stay happy in the wettest of weather.
As owners of sporting doggies, we are well-versed in looking after Labradors, Spaniels and Terriers after a day out chasing all sorts across the fields. Whether you have been beating a shoot or following the hounds, we have the solution for your dog no matter what size or breed.
First up is the dog bed selection:
We have a selection of waterproof dog beds and yes others are available but we belove our Pets and Leisure selection are the finest. You don't have to just believe us either, we have some unreal feedback in our reviews about these beds.
Crate pads are very useful in the wet dog market. A single layer without high sides lets your dog site comfortably on the floor or in the back of your car. They can be soaking wet and you don;t have to worry about damp carpets, seat covers etc. You can wait until they have dried off and give the crate pad a quick scrub to clear the smells. You can see Berry our late labrador modelling one of our selection. you can find a sleection of crate pads here...
Another one of the after-walk dog products that we sell is the dog drying coat. We all know the feeling of dread as your pup comes in from a muddy walk and sprays the hallway with everything he or she has collected on their fur. If you have white walls then you may never see that colour again. So why not wrap them up warm in a nice furry coat to stop the spraying and help them get dry quickly without you having to rub them dry with a stinky towel? The best bit is you can bung the robe into the wash straight after and start the whole process over again. We know many dog owners who buy multiple robes so one is always dry and clean.
Dog drying coats are designed to absorb water and mud directly from your dog's fur, helping them to dry off quicker while also protecting your home from being dirtied. These coats are usually made from microfiber or another highly absorbent material that wicks moisture away from the dog's body. To choose the right size, measure your dog's length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, their neck circumference, and their chest circumference at the widest point. Most manufacturers provide size charts that correspond to these measurements. It's essential to ensure a snug but comfortable fit, allowing your dog to move freely without the coat being too tight or too loose.
